Ram for mac unibody 20103/16/2023 ![]() Although I just got hired and once I have steady income, plan on doing some much better upgrades or trade in or sell my macbook to upgrade to a more current model. I managed the switch successfully but ended up with the RAM beep and blinking light. So Im trying to save money, although, I do want to do the best possible upgrades that i can. Hi I was going to upgrade the RAM in my Macbook Unibody mid 2010 using the 4GB one that came with my other laptop, a Compaq Presario CQ57, seeing as it had the double RAM than the Macbook. ![]() Basically, Im very limited on funds and am planning on getting a new battery, new dc in board, a new bottom(the rubber is separating ), and a new trackpad. I know its cheaper to get a 150-250gb ssd sata 2.0 and adding it than it is to get a 500gb to 1tb ssd sata 2.0 and just flat out replace the hard drive. Ive gotten mixed results while trying to figure out if theres a difference in speed and stability or if it really doesnt matter. ![]() Option 2) getting a higher gb ssd and replace the original hdd Option 1) add a ssd using an adapter that allows me to put it in place of my cd drive while keeping my original hdd to work with it ![]() Can I ask which upgrade you guys think would be best. NOTE: The 2010 MacBook is built with a polycarbonate glossy white unibody and uses an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
